With Saʿd ibn Abī Waqqāṣ

60 - ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us, he said: It was narrated to me on the authority of—ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us, he said: It was narrated to me on the authority of Ibrāhīm ibn Muḥammad ibn ʿArʿara, on the authority of Ibn Abī ʿUbayda, he said: My father narrated to me, on the authority of al-Aʿmash, on the authority of Shimr ibn ʿAṭiyya, he said: Saʿd ibn Abī Waqqāṣ said: "By God, I would love for there to be between me and the people an iron door, so that no one speaks to me and I speak to no one, until I meet God, Glorified be He."
