121- ʿIkrima said, in what Ibn Ḥumayd narrated to us, saying: Ḥakkām ibn Salm narrated to us, from ʿAnbasa, from Jābir, from ʿIkrima: that he used to say: It is salvation.

And likewise al-Suddī used to interpret it.

122- Muḥammad ibn al-Ḥusayn narrated that to us, saying: Aḥmad ibn al-Mufaḍḍal narrated to us, saying: Asbāṭ narrated to us, from al-Suddī—and it is the view of a group other than those two.

And Ibn ʿAbbās used to say: "Al-Furqān" is the way out.

And likewise Mujāhid used to say regarding its interpretation.

124- Ibn Ḥumayd narrated that to us, saying: Ḥakkām narrated to us, from ʿAnbasa, from Jābir, from Mujāhid (1).

And Mujāhid used to say regarding the saying of God, Mighty and Majestic: {On the Day of the Criterion} [Sūrat al-Anfāl: 41]: A day in which God separated between truth and falsehood.

125- Muḥammad ibn ʿAmr al-Bāhilī narrated that to me, saying: Abū ʿĀṣim narrated to me, from ʿĪsā ibn Maymūn, from Ibn Abī Najīḥ, from Mujāhid (2).

And all these interpretations regarding the meaning of "al-Furqān"—despite their different expressions—are close in meaning. That is because whoever is granted a way out from a matter in which he was, he has been granted
