164 - Aḥmad ibn Ḥāzim al-Ghifārī narrated to me, he said: ʿUbayd Allāh ibn Mūsā narrated to us, from Abū Jaʿfar, from Rabīʿ ibn Anas, from Abū al-ʿĀliya regarding His statement: {Lord of the worlds}, he said: Mankind is a world, and the jinn are a world, and besides that there are eighteen thousand worlds, or fourteen thousand worlds—he was in doubt—of angels upon the earth. The earth has four corners, and in each corner there are three thousand five hundred worlds, created by Him for His worship. (1)

165 - Al-Qāsim ibn al-Ḥasan narrated to us, he said: Al-Ḥusayn ibn Dāwūd narrated to us, he said: Ḥajjāj narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj regarding His statement: {Lord of the worlds}, he said: The jinn and mankind. (2)

The interpretation of His statement: ﴿The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful﴾.

Abū Jaʿfar said: The explanation regarding the interpretation of His statement, {The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful}, has already passed in the interpretation of {In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful}, so that dispenses with repeating it in this place.

And we did not need to clarify the reason for repeating that in this place, since we do not hold that
