92- And Aḥmad ibn ʿAbda al-Ḍabbī narrated to us, saying: Ḥammād ibn Zayd narrated to us, saying: ʿUbayd Allāh ibn ʿUmar narrated to us, saying: I reached the jurists of Medina, and they were indeed stern in speaking regarding Tafsir (1), among them: Sālim ibn ʿAbd Allāh, al-Qāsim ibn Muḥammad, Saʿīd ibn al-Musayyib, and Nāfiʿ.

93- And Muḥammad ibn Bashshār narrated to us, saying: Bishr ibn ʿUmar narrated to us, saying: Mālik ibn Anas narrated to us, from Yaḥyā ibn Saʿīd, who said: I heard a man asking Saʿīd ibn al-Musayyib about a verse of the Qur'an, so he said: "I say nothing regarding the Qur'an."

94- Yūnus narrated to us, saying: Ibn Wahb narrated to us, saying: Mālik informed me, from Yaḥyā ibn Saʿīd, from Saʿīd ibn al-Musayyib: that whenever he was asked about the Tafsir of a verse of the Qur'an, he would say: "I say nothing regarding the Qur'an."
