• Ahmad was asked on another occasion about wudu after cupping? He said: "He performs wudu." The opinion of the people of Medina was mentioned to him, but he did not incline toward it.

• I asked Ishaq ibn Ibrahim about a man who performed cupping, then prayed without performing wudu? He said: "He must repeat it, because any blood that flows from the human body has the same ruling as istihadah (irregular vaginal bleeding)."

• I asked Ishaq on another occasion: A man performed cupping, then prayed without washing the site of the cupping marks? He said: "He must repeat the prayer." I consulted him further on this issue.

Chapter: A Fistula (Nasur) from which Fluid Flows

• Ahmad was asked about a fistula that a person might have? He said: "If it flows profusely, he must perform wudu for every prayer. If a small amount of fluid flows from it, I hope that he does not need to perform wudu." It was said: What if it is in the anal region? He said: "Everything that exits from the path of stool and urine requires the repetition of wudu, regardless of whether it is a small or large amount."

86 - 'Amr ibn 'Uthman narrated to us, saying: al-Walid narrated to us, from al-Awza'i—regarding the fistula: "If it exits from the anal ring, there is no wudu from its purulent discharge, but if it is from inside the fistula, then perform wudu for every prayer."

87 - 'Amr ibn 'Uthman narrated to us, saying: Baqiyyah ibn al-Walid narrated to us, saying: 'Abd al-Malik ibn Mihran narrated to us, from 'Amr ibn Dinar, from Ibn 'Abbas, that a man asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah, I have a fistula; if I perform wudu, it flows? He said: "If you perform wudu, then it flows from your head to your feet, do not perform wudu [again]."
