890 - Ishaq narrated to us, saying: Jarir narrated to us, from Mughirah, who said: I asked Ibrahim about raising the voice in recitation during the day? He said: "If it does not disturb anyone, then there is no harm."

891 - Sa'id ibn Mansur narrated to us, saying: Hammad ibn Zayd narrated to us, from Bishr ibn Harb, who said: "I saw Ibn 'Umar praying during the day, and he would let us hear his recitation."

892 - Ishaq narrated to us, Jarir informed us, from Mis'ar, from Abu al-'Ala' al-'Abdi, who said: "Sa'id ibn Jubayr used to recite aloud in the daytime prayer."

893 - Mis'ar said: "And I heard Abu Hubayrah Yahya ibn 'Abbad reciting aloud in the daytime prayer."

• Ishaq said: "If he is praying alone in seclusion, it is permissible for him to raise his voice; he should observe what makes him more energetic, makes his heart softer, and brings his tears more quickly."

894 - Yahya ibn 'Abd al-Hamid narrated to us, saying: Abu Bakr narrated to us, from 'Asim, from Zirr, from 'Abd Allah, who said: I was reciting one night in the mosque, and the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, came along with Abu Bakr and 'Umar. They listened to me as I was reciting Surah al-Nisa', and I was reciting it smoothly and quickly (sahlan). The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Ask and it shall be given to you." Then he said: "Whoever loves to recite the Quran fresh as it was revealed, let him recite it according to the recitation of Ibn Umm 'Abd."
