I also heard Ishaq say—another time—: 'There are two prostrations in [Surat] al-Hajj.'

956 - Yahya ibn 'Abd al-Hamid narrated to us, saying: Ibn al-Mubarak narrated to us, from Ibn Lahi'ah, from Abu Mus'ab, from 'Uqbah ibn 'Amir, who said: I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, was Surat al-Hajj favored with two prostrations?' He said: 'Yes.'

957 - Sa'id ibn Mansur narrated to us, saying: Hushaym narrated to us, saying: Mansur informed us, from Ibn Sirin, from Ibn 'Umar, that 'Umar used to prostrate twice in al-Hajj and would say: 'This Surah was favored over [the rest of] the Qur'an with two prostrations.'

958 - Sa'id ibn Mansur narrated to us, saying: Sufyan narrated to us, from Ayyub ibn Musa, from 'Ata' ibn Mina', from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: 'We prostrated with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) during [the recitation of] "When the heaven has split open" and "Recite in the name of your Lord who created."

Chapter: The Time during which Prostrating for the Qur'an is Disliked

• Ahmad disliked that a man should prostrate after the 'Asr prayer, and after the Fajr [prayer].'
