98 - Al-Ḥusayn b. ʿAlī b. Yazīd narrated to us that he was told from ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUbaydullāh b. Abī ʿĀṣim al-ʿAbbādānī: Al-Faḍl b. ʿĪsā narrated to us from Muḥammad b. al-Munkadir from Jābir b. ʿAbdullāh, who said: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said: "While the people of Paradise are in their bliss, a light will suddenly shine for them. They will look up, and behold, the Lord, Almighty and Majestic, will have appeared to them from above them. He will say: 'Peace be upon you, O people of Paradise.' That is His statement, Almighty and Majestic: {Peace, a word from a Merciful Lord}. He said: "So He will look at them and they will look at Him. They will not turn their attention to anything of the bliss as long as they are looking at Him, [until He veils Himself]. Then His light and His blessing will remain upon them and in their abodes."
