144 - Mujāhid b. Mūsā narrated to us: Muʿīn b. ʿĪsā narrated to us, who said: The son of the brother of Ibn Shihāb narrated to me, from his father, from Anas b. Mālik, that the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, was asked about the Kawthar. He said: "A river my Lord, Mighty and Majestic, gave me in Paradise, whiter than milk and sweeter than honey. In it are birds whose necks are like the necks of slaughter-camels." ʿUmar said: "They are indeed tender." The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said: "Eating them is even more tender than them."
