45 - Ibrāhīm b. Saʿīd al-Jawharī narrated to us: Abū ʿĀmir al-ʿAqadī narrated to us: Zamʿa b. Ṣāliḥ narrated to us, from Salama b. Wahrām, from ʿIkrima, from Ibn ʿAbbās, who said: "The extended shade is a tree in Paradise on a trunk, the extent of which a diligent rider can travel in its shade for one hundred years in all its directions." He said: "The people of Paradise, the people of the elevated chambers and others, will come out to it and converse in its shade. Some of them will desire and mention the amusement of the world, so God will send a wind from Paradise that will move that tree with every amusement that existed in the world."
