79 - Mujāhid b. Mūsā narrated to us: Maʿn b. ʿĪsā narrated to us, he said: The nephew of Ibn Shihāb narrated to me from his father from Anas b. Mālik that the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, was asked about al-Kawthar, so he said: A river my Lord, Mighty and Majestic, gave me in Paradise, whiter than milk and sweeter than honey. In it are birds whose necks are like the necks of slaughter-camels. ʿUmar said: They are indeed tender. The Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said: Eating them is even more tender than them.
