96 - Ḥamza b. al-ʿAbbās narrated to me: ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUthmān informed us: Ibn al-Mubārak informed us: Sulaymān b. al-Mughīra informed us: Thābit narrated to us from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Abī Laylā regarding His statement, Almighty and Majestic: {and an increase}. He said: It was said to him: "What do you think of His statement: {For those who do good is the finest reward and an increase}?" He said: "When the people of Paradise enter Paradise and are given whatever they are given therein of honor and bliss, they will be called: 'O people of Paradise, indeed God has promised you the increase.' Then He, Almighty and Majestic, will manifest Himself to them." Ibn Abī Laylā said: "So what do you think of them when their scales are heavy, when the records are placed in their right hands, when they have crossed the bridge of Hell, entered Paradise, and been given whatever they are given of honor and bliss, as if they had never seen anything?"
