"Those who disbelieved among the Children of Israel were cursed by the tongue of David and Jesus, the son of Mary."
Qatadah said:
Meaning: in the time of David and Jesus, the son of Mary; they were transformed into monkeys in the time of David when they ate the fish, and they were transformed into swine in the time of Jesus.
﴿لُعِنَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ عَلَى لِسَانِ دَاوُدَ وَعِيسَى ابْن مَرْيَم﴾
قَالَ قَتَادَةُ:
يَعْنِي: فِي زمَان دَاوُد وَعِيسَى ابْن مَرْيَمَ؛ مُسِخُوا فِي زَمَانِ دَاوُدَ قِرَدَةً حِينَ أَكَلُوا الْحِيتَانَ، وَمُسِخُوا فِي زمَان عِيسَى خنازير
