"Then do not grant me any respite" (Qur'an 11:55) - not for the blinking of an eye. Indeed, Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, will protect me from you. He said this knowing that the idols are incapable of scheming, and that they neither harm nor benefit.
﴿ثمَّ لَا تنْظرُون﴾ طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ؛ إِنَّ اللَّهَ ﷿ سَيَمْنَعُنِي مِنْكُمْ؛ قَالَ هَذَا وَقَدْ عَلِمَ أَنَّ الأَوْثَانَ لَا تَقْدِرُ عَلَى أَنْ تَكِيدَ، وَأَنَّهَا لَا تضر وَلَا تَنْفَع
