{Is he who is upon a clear proof from his Lord like him to whom the evil of his deed has been made attractive and who follow their own desires?}—and this refers to the polytheist; meaning: they are not the same.
Interpretation of Surah Muhammad from verse 15 to verse 17.
﴿أَفَمَن كَانَ عَلَى بَيِّنَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّهِ كَمَن زُيِّنَ لَهُ سُوءُ عَمَلِهِ وَاتَّبَعُوا أَهْوَاءهُمْ﴾ وَهَذَا الْمُشرك؛ أَي ليسَا بِسَوَاء.
