611 - Al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Rabi' narrated to us, 'Abd al-Razzaq informed us, Ma'mar informed us from Qatadah regarding His saying: "We can never endure one food," he said: They became weary of their food and remembered their life that they had been in before that.
His saying: "So call upon your Lord to bring forth for us from what the earth grows: its herbs and its cucumbers."
612 - 'Isam ibn Rawwad narrated to us, Adam narrated to us, he said: Abu Ja'far al-Razi said: Qatadah said: When they came to al-Sham, they missed the foods they used to eat, so they said: "So call upon your Lord to bring forth for us from what the earth grows: its herbs."

613 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, 'Abdah ibn Sulayman narrated to us from Abu Sa'id—meaning Sa'id ibn al-Marzuban—from 'Ikrimah from Ibn 'Abbas: "And its fūm" is bread. Murrah said: Wheat.
614 - Yunus ibn 'Abd al-A'la narrated to us, by way of reading, Wahb informed us, he said: Nafi' ibn Abi Nu'aym narrated to me that Ibn 'Abbas was asked about the saying of Allah: "And its fūm," what is its fūm? He said: Wheat. Ibn 'Abbas said: Have you not heard the saying of Uhayha ibn al-Hulahl as he says: "I was the wealthiest of people as a single person, coming to the city from the cultivation of fūm."
It was narrated from Mujahid, al-Hasan, Abu Malik, 'Ikrimah, 'Ata' ibn Abi Rabah, al-Suddi, and Qatadah similarly. Others differed with them.

615 - My father narrated to us, 'Amr ibn Rafi' narrated to us, Abu 'Umarah Ya'qub ibn Ishaq al-Basri informed us from Yunus from al-Hasan regarding His saying: "And its fūm," he said: Ibn 'Abbas said: Garlic. It was narrated from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, al-Rabi', and al-Dahhak similarly.
His saying: "And its lentils and its onions."
616 - Al-Hasan ibn Ahmad Abu Fatimah narrated to us, Ibrahim ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Bashshar al-Wasiti narrated to us, Surur ibn al-Mughirah narrated to me from 'Abbad ibn Mansur from al-Hasan, he said: They became ungrateful for that.
