تفسير ابن أبي حاتم
مجلد 1 · صفحة 120قوله: خذوا ما آتيناكم

الترجمة · EN

654 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, 'Amr ibn Hammad narrated to us, Asbat ibn Nasr narrated to us from al-Suddi who said: When they refused to prostrate, Allah ordered it to fall upon them. They looked at it as it covered them, so they fell down prostrating; they prostrated on one side and looked with the other side. Allah then had mercy on them and removed it from them. They said: There is no prostration dearer to Allah than the prostration by which He removed the torment from them, and they continue to prostrate in this manner. That is the saying of Allah: "And We raised the Mount above you."

His saying: "Take what We have given you"

655 - Al-Hasan ibn Ahmad narrated to us, Ibrahim ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Bashar narrated to us, Surur ibn al-Mughirah narrated to me from 'Abbad ibn Mansur from al-Hasan regarding His saying: "Take what We have given you with resolve" - meaning the Torah.

[His saying: With resolve]

[The first perspective]

656 - 'Isam ibn Rawwad narrated to us, Adam narrated to us, Abu Ja'far narrated to us from al-Rabi' from Abu al-'Aliyah regarding His saying: "Take what We have given you with resolve" - meaning with obedience. He said: A similar statement is narrated from al-Rabi' ibn Anas.

The second perspective:

657 - Al-Hasan ibn Muhammad ibn al-Sabbah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us from Ibn Abi Najih from Mujahid: His saying: "with resolve" - by acting upon what is in it.

The third perspective:

658 - Al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Rabi' narrated to us, 'Abd al-Razzaq informed us, Ma'mar informed us from Qatadah: "Take what We have given you with resolve." The resolve (al-quwwah) is: diligence (al-jidd), otherwise I would have buried it over you. He said: So they affirmed that they would take what they were given with resolve. Abu Muhammad said: "Otherwise I would have buried it over you" - meaning, I would have dropped it upon you.

His saying: "And remember what is in it"

659 - 'Isam ibn Rawwad narrated to us, Adam narrated to us, Abu Ja'far narrated to us from al-Rabi' from Abu al-'Aliyah regarding His saying: "And remember what is in it" - he says: Acknowledge what is in the Torah and act upon it. A similar statement is narrated from al-Rabi'.
