His saying: "Neither trained to till the earth"
728 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, 'Amr ibn Hammad narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi, who said regarding His saying: "Indeed, it is a cow, neither trained to till the earth": He said: It is not trained to be farmed with, nor does it irrigate the crops.
729 - 'Isam ibn Rawwad al-'Asqalani narrated to us, Adam narrated to us, Abu Ja'far al-Razi narrated to us, from al-Rabi' ibn Anas, from Abu al-'Aliyah: "To till the earth," he said: Meaning it is not trained to till the earth.
His saying: "Nor does it irrigate the crops"
730 - 'Isam ibn Rawwad narrated to us, Adam—meaning al-'Asqalani—narrated to us, Abu Ja'far al-Razi narrated to us, from al-Rabi' ibn Anas, from Abu al-'Aliyah: "Nor does it irrigate the crops," he says: It does not perform work in the cultivation.
731 - al-'Abbas ibn al-Walid ibn Mazid al-Bayruti informed me by way of reading, Ibn Shu'ayb informed me, 'Uthman ibn 'Ata' informed me, from his father: "Nor does it irrigate the crops"; the cow was not trained to be plowed with, nor was water drawn with it for watering the crops.
His saying: "Sound"
[First Aspect]
732 - al-Hasan ibn Muhammad ibn al-Sabah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid: "Sound" [meaning] free from blemishes.
733 - al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Rabi' narrated to us, 'Abd al-Razzaq reported to us, Ma'mar reported to us, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "Sound"; he says: It has no defect in it. And it was narrated similarly from Abu al-'Aliyah and al-Rabi' ibn Anas.
Second Aspect:
734 - 'Isam ibn Rawwad narrated to us, Adam narrated to us, Abu Shaybah—Shu'ayb ibn Zurayq—narrated to us, from 'Ata' al-Khurasani, regarding "Sound," he said: Sound of limbs and physique.
His saying: "Having no blemish in it"
735 - al-Hasan ibn Muhammad ibn al-Sabah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, from Warqa', from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid: "Having no blemish in it"; he said: Neither white nor black.
