His saying: "you will find it with Allah"
1092 - 'Isam ibn Rawwad narrated to us, Adam narrated to us, from Abu Ja'far al-Razi, from al-Rabi' ibn Anas, from Abu al-'Aliyah regarding His saying: "you will find it with Allah," he says: You will find its reward with Allah. Similar was narrated from al-Rabi' ibn Anas.
1093 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Ibn Bukayr narrated to us, from Ibn Lahi'ah, from Yazid ibn Abi Habib, from Abu al-Khayr, from 'Uqbah ibn 'Amir, he said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) reciting this verse: "All-Hearing, All-Seeing" [and] he would say: "All-Seeing of everything."
His saying: "And they said, 'None will enter Paradise except one who is a Jew or a Christian.'"
1094 - 'Isam ibn Rawwad narrated to us, Adam narrated to us, from Abu Ja'far, from al-Rabi', from Abu al-'Aliyah, he said: The Jews said, "None will enter Paradise except a Jew." And the Christians said, "None will enter Paradise except a Christian." Similar was narrated from Mujahid, al-Rabi', and al-Suddi.
His saying: "That is their wishful thinking"
1095 - 'Isam ibn Rawwad narrated to us, Adam narrated to us, from Abu Ja'far, from al-Rabi', from Abu al-'Aliyah, Allah says: "That is their wishful thinking," he says: Wishes they desired from Allah without truth. Similar was narrated from Qatadah and al-Rabi' ibn Anas.
His saying: "Say, 'Produce your proof'"
1096 - Through the same chain from Abu al-'Aliyah: "Say, 'Produce your proof'" i.e., your argument. Similar was narrated from Mujahid, al-Suddi, and al-Rabi'.
1097 - Muhammad ibn 'Ubayd Allah ibn al-Munadi informed us in what he wrote to me, Yunus ibn Muhammad al-Mu'addib narrated to us, Shayban al-Nahwi narrated to us, from Qatadah: "Say, 'Produce your proof'" he said: Your evidence for that, if you are truthful.
His saying: "if you should be truthful"
1098 - 'Isam ibn Rawwad narrated to us, Adam narrated to us, from Abu Ja'far, from al-Rabi', from Abu al-'Aliyah: "if you should be truthful" in what you say, that it is as you say. Similar was narrated from al-Rabi' ibn Anas.
