His saying: "Those—they do not consume into their bellies except fire."
1535 - 'Isam ibn Rawwad narrated to us, Adam Abu Ja'far al-Razi narrated to us, from al-Rabi', from Abu al-'Aliyah, regarding His saying: "Those—they do not consume into their bellies except fire," he says: That which they took as compensation for it is fire in their bellies.
His saying: "And Allah will not speak to them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them, and for them is a painful punishment."
1536 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj and 'Amr al-Awdi narrated to us, they said: Waki' narrated to us, al-A'mash narrated to us, from Abu Hazim, from Abu Hurayrah, he said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "Three [types of people] whom Allah will not speak to, nor will He purify them: an elderly adulterer, a lying king, and an arrogant beggar." His saying: "Those are the ones who have purchased error for guidance and punishment for forgiveness."
1537 - 'Isam ibn Rawwad narrated to us, Adam narrated to us, from Abu Ja'far, from al-Rabi', from Abu al-'Aliyah, regarding His saying: "Those are the ones who have purchased error for guidance," he says: They chose error over guidance, and punishment over forgiveness. It is reported from Qatadah and al-Rabi' ibn Anas something similar.
His saying: "How patient they are for the Fire!"
And through the same chain from Abu al-'Aliyah, regarding His saying: "How patient they are for the Fire!" he said: How patient and bold they are in doing the deeds of the people of the Fire. It is reported from al-Hasan, Sa'id ibn Jubayr, 'Ikrimah, 'Ata', Ibrahim, Qatadah, (2) al-Rabi' ibn Anas, and Yazid ibn Abi Habib something similar.
Mujahid said: (3) How knowledgeable they are about the deeds of the people of the Fire.
His saying: "That is because Allah has sent down the Book in truth, and indeed, those who differ over the Book"
1538 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, 'Amr ibn Hammad ibn Talhah narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi: "And indeed, those who differ over the Book," he says: They are the Jews and the Christians.
