regarding what Muhammad ibn Abi Muhammad narrated to me, from 'Ikrimah or Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn 'Abbas: "Then Allah increased their disease," meaning doubt.

115 - 'Isam ibn Rawwad narrated to us, Adam narrated to us, Abu Ja'far narrated to us, from al-Rabi', from Abu al-'Aliyah, who says: "Then Allah increased their disease," meaning doubt.

The second aspect:

116 - Muhammad ibn 'Ali ibn Sa'id al-Nasa'i narrated to us, Qutaybah ibn Sa'id narrated to us, Ja'far ibn Sulayman al-Duba'i narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn 'Ali, from Sa'd al-Iskaf, from Zayd ibn 'Ali, who said: The disease is two types: a disease of adultery and a disease of hypocrisy.

His saying, Exalted is He: "And for them is a painful punishment"

119 - 'Isam ibn Rawwad al-'Asqalani narrated to us, Adam narrated to us, Abu Ja'far al-Razi narrated to us, from al-Rabi' ibn Anas, from Abu al-'Aliyah, regarding His saying: "And for them is a painful punishment," he said: Al-alim (painful) means "tormenting" throughout the entire Qur'an. He said: And likewise, it was interpreted by Sa'id ibn Ja'far, al-Dahhak ibn Muzahim, Qatadah, Abu Malik, Abu 'Imran al-Jawni, and Muqatil ibn Hayyan.
