367 - 'Isam ibn Rawwad al-'Asqalani narrated to us, Adam narrated to us, Abu Ja'far al-Razi narrated to us, from al-Rabi', from Abu al-'Aliyah regarding His saying: "And became one of the disbelievers," meaning: from the disobedient ones.

368 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Abu al-Razi—meaning Ishaq ibn Sulayman—narrated to us, from Musa ibn 'Ubaydah al-Rabadhi, from Muhammad ibn Ka'b al-Qurazi, he said: Allah, the Almighty and Exalted, initiated the creation of Iblis upon disbelief and misguidance, and he performed the deeds of the angels, so He led him to what his creation destined him toward, which is disbelief. Allah the Exalted said: "And became one of the disbelievers."

369 - It was mentioned from 'Amr ibn Muhammad al-'Anqazi, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi: "And became one of the disbelievers," he said: From the disbelievers whom Allah had not created on that day; they would come into existence later.

His saying: "And We said, 'O Adam'"

370 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, 'Abdah ibn Sulayman narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Abu al-Duha, from Ibn 'Abbas, he said: He was only called Adam because he was created from the surface (adim) of the earth.

His saying: "O Adam, dwell, you and your wife, in Paradise"

371 - 'Isam ibn Rawwad al-'Asqalani narrated to us, Adam ibn Abi Iyas narrated to us, Abu Ja'far al-Razi narrated to us, from al-Rabi', from Abu al-'Aliyah, he said: Allah, Blessed and Exalted, said: "O Adam, dwell, you and your wife, in Paradise." He said: Allah created Adam on Friday, and He entered him into Paradise on Friday, and He placed him in the Gardens of Firdaws.

372 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, 'Amr ibn Hammad narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi, he said: Iblis was expelled from Paradise, and Adam was made to dwell in Paradise. He would walk therein alone, having no wife to find solace in. So he slept a sleep and awoke, and at his head was a woman sitting, whom Allah had created from his rib. He asked her, "Who are you?" She said, "A woman." He said, "And why were you created?" She said, "So that you may find solace in me." The angels said to him, observing what his knowledge had reached: "What is her name, O Adam?" He said: "Hawwa' (Eve)." They said: "And why Hawwa'?" He said: "Because she was created from a living thing (hayy)." Then Allah said: "O Adam, dwell, you and your wife, in Paradise."

His saying: "And eat from it in abundance wherever you wish"

373 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Minjab narrated to us, Bishr reported to us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding His saying: "And eat from it in abundance (raghadan)," he said: "Raghad" is the ease/abundance of sustenance.
