who record our deeds." He also recited: "And every soul will come, with it a driver and a witness." [He added:] "And the prophets are witnesses over their nations." He recited: "So how [will it be] when We bring from every nation a witness?" And the nation of Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, are witnesses over [all] nations. He recited: "To be witnesses over the people." [The witnesses include] the bodies and the skins, and he recited: "And they will say to their skins, 'Why have you testified against us?' They will say, 'We were made to speak by Allah, who has made everything speak.'"

His saying, the Almighty: "Indeed, those who dispute concerning the signs of Allah."

18440 - From Abu al-'Aliyah, may Allah be pleased with him, who said: The Jews came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and said: "The Dajjal will be from among us in the end times, and such-and-such will occur of his affairs," and they magnified his status. They said: "He will do such and such..." Then Allah revealed: "Indeed, those who dispute concerning the signs of Allah without any authority having come to them—there is not in their breasts except pride, [the extent of] which they cannot reach." He said: He will not achieve what he claims. "So seek refuge in Allah." He ordered His Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, to seek refuge from the trial of the Dajjal, [saying]: "The creation of the heavens and the earth is greater than the creation of the people [which is to say, the creation of] the Dajjal."

18441 - From Ka'b al-Ahbar, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: "Indeed, those who dispute concerning the signs of Allah without any authority having come to them," he said: They are the Jews; it was revealed concerning them regarding what they expect of the affair of the Dajjal.

His saying, the Almighty: "Indeed, the Hour is coming; there is no doubt about it."

18442 - Muhammad ibn 'Abd Allah ibn 'Abd al-Hakam narrated to us, Ashhab narrated to us, Malik narrated to us, from an aged elder from the people of Yemen who had come from there, who said: I heard that when the Hour draws near, the trial for the people will intensify, and the heat of the sun will intensify.

His saying, the Almighty: "Call upon Me; I will respond to you."

18443 - Ka'b al-Ahbar said: This nation was given three things that were not given to any nation before them, except for a prophet. When Allah sent a prophet, it was said to him: "You are a witness over your nation," and He made you [this nation] witnesses over the people. It was also said to him: "There is no difficulty for you in the religion," and He said to this nation [the same].
