18557 - From Ibn Abbas regarding His saying: "Taste, indeed you are the mighty, the noble," he says: You are neither mighty nor noble. (1)

18558 - My father narrated to us, Nuh ibn Habib narrated to us, Nasr ibn Muzahim al-Attar narrated to us, Umar ibn Sa'd narrated to us, from a man, from Anas, whom Nuh attributed to the Prophet—he said: "If a hura' (fair woman of Paradise) were to spit into a deep sea, that water would become sweet due to the sweetness of her saliva." 18559 - From Abu Umamah, he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "The hur al-'in were created from saffron." (3)
18560 - From Mujahid, may Allah be pleased with him, that he said: "The fragrance of the woman of the hur al-'in can be found from a distance of five hundred years." (4)
18561 - From Ikrimah, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: "And We will pair them with hurin 'in," he said: "It is a Yamani dialect, for the people of Yemen say: 'We married so-and-so to such-and-such woman'." (5)
18562 - From Qatadah, may Allah be pleased with him, he said: In the recitation of Ibn Mas'ud: "They shall not taste therein the taste of death." (6)
