His saying, the Almighty: "This is what you are promised for every one who turns often [to Allah]."

18643 - From Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib who said: The one who turns often (al-awwab) is he who commits a sin, then repents, then commits a sin, then repents, then commits a sin, then repents, until Allah seals [his life] for him with repentance.(1)

His saying, the Almighty: "And with Us is more."

18644 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, 'Amr ibn 'Uthman narrated to us, Baqiyyah narrated to us, from Haywah ibn Sa'd, from Khalid ibn Ma'dan, from Kathir ibn Murrah who said: Among the "more" is that a cloud will pass by the people of Paradise and say: "What do you desire so that I may rain it upon you?" They will not call for anything except that it rains upon them. Kathir said: "If Allah allows me to witness that, I will certainly say: Rain down upon us maiden companions, adorned."(2)

18645 - From the hadith of Sharik al-Qadi, from 'Uthman ibn 'Umayr Abu al-Yaqzan, from Anas ibn Malik regarding His saying, the Almighty and Majestic: "And with Us is more," he said: The Lord, the Almighty and Majestic, will appear to them every Friday.(3)

His saying, the Almighty: "And in the night, glorify Him and at the ends of the prostrations."

18646 - Harun ibn Ishaq al-Hamdani narrated to us, Ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from Rushayd ibn Kurayb, from his father, from Ibn 'Abbas who said: I spent a night at the Messenger of Allah's (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) [house], and he prayed the two light rak'ahs before the dawn, then he went out to the prayer and said: "O Ibn 'Abbas, two rak'ahs before the dawn are the ends of the stars (adbar al-nujum), and two rak'ahs after the Maghrib are the ends of the prostrations (adbar al-sujud)."

From the path of Mujahid who said: Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "The ends of the prostrations are the glorification (tasbih) after the prayer."(4)

His saying, the Almighty: "The Day the Caller will call from a place that is near."

18647 - From Qatadah regarding His saying: "The Day the Caller will call from a place that is near," he said: We used to say that he will call from Bayt al-Maqdis (Jerusalem), from the Rock, and it is the center of the earth. And it was narrated to us that Ka'b said: It is the closest part of the earth to the sky by eighteen miles.(5)

His saying, the Almighty: "That is the Day of coming out [from the graves]."

18648 - From Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) regarding His saying: "That is the Day of coming out [from the graves]," he said: The Day they come out for the Resurrection from the graves.(6)
