[His saying, the Almighty: The Occurrence]

18765 - From Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) regarding His saying: "When the Occurrence befalls," he said: The Day of Resurrection. "There is no denying its occurrence," he said: It has no return that can turn it back. "Abasing, exalting," he said: It will abase some people and exalt others. (1)

His saying, the Almighty: "Abasing, exalting."

18766 - From 'Uthman ibn Suraqah, from his maternal uncle 'Umar ibn al-Khattab regarding His saying: "Abasing, exalting," he said: The Hour will abase the enemies of Allah into the Fire, and exalt the allies of Allah into Paradise. (2)

His saying, the Almighty: "When the earth is shaken."

18767 - From Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "When the earth is shaken with a [great] shaking," he says: The earth will tremble and quake. "And the mountains are crumbled into dust," he says: They will be pulverized into fragments. (3)

His saying, the Almighty: "Dust."

18768 - From Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "Becoming dust dispersed," he said: The dust is that which flies from the fire when it blazes; sparks fly from it, and when it settles, it becomes nothing. (4)

His saying, the Almighty: "Kinds."

18773 - From Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "And you become three kinds," he said: Categories. (5)

18772 - From Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "And you become three kinds," he said: They are those which are in Surah Fatir: "Then we caused to inherit the Book those We have chosen of Our servants; and among them is one who wrongs himself, and among them is one who is moderate, and among them is one who is foremost in good deeds." (6)

His saying, the Almighty: "The foremost."

18773 - From Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) regarding His saying: "And the foremost, the foremost."
