by Allah.” They had bound him with leather straps, so the leather fell off him. He went out, and there he found a she-camel belonging to them, so he mounted it and set off. Then he came upon the herd of the people who had captured him, so he shouted at them, and the last of them followed the first. His father was startled when he heard him calling at the door. His father went to the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) and informed him, so it was revealed: “And whoever fears Allah—He will make for him a way out” (the verse). (1)
18912 - From 'Aisha regarding His saying: “And whoever fears Allah—He will make for him a way out,” she said: He will suffice him against the sorrow and distress of the world. (2)
18913 - From 'Imran ibn Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) he said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: “Whoever detaches himself for the sake of Allah, Allah will suffice him for every necessity and provide for him from where he does not expect, and whoever detaches himself for the sake of the world, Allah will leave him to it.” (3)
18914 - From Ibn 'Abbas, who attributed the Hadith to the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), he said: “Whoever likes to be the strongest of people, let him rely upon Allah. Whoever likes to be the richest of people, let him be more certain in what is in Allah’s hand than in what is in his own hand. And whoever likes to be the most honorable of people, let him fear Allah.” (4)
His saying, the Almighty: “And [as for] those who no longer expect menstruation.”
18915 - From Ubayy ibn Ka'b that when this verse in Surat al-Baqarah regarding the waiting period of women was revealed, some people of Medina said: There remains a duration for the waiting period of women that was not mentioned in the Qur'an: the young ones, the old ones who have ceased menstruation, and those who are pregnant. So Allah revealed the one in Surat al-Nisa' al-Qusra: “And [as for] those who no longer expect menstruation” (the verse). (5)
His saying, the Almighty: “And for those who are pregnant, their period is until they give birth.”
18916 - From Ubayy ibn Ka'b, he said: When this verse was revealed, I said to the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace): “O Messenger of Allah, is this verse shared or ambiguous?” The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: “Which verse?” I said: “And for those who are pregnant, their period is until they give birth—does this apply to the divorced woman and the one whose husband has died?” He said: “Yes.” (6)
