Sūrat al-Ḥāqqah (69)
His saying: Al-Ḥāqqah (The Inevitable Reality).
18958 - From Ibn ʿAbbās regarding His saying: "Al-Ḥāqqah," he said: "It is one of the names of the Day of Resurrection."
His saying: "Seven nights."
18959 - From al-Rabīʿ ibn Anas regarding His saying: "He subjected it upon them for seven nights and eight days," he said: "The first of them was Friday."
His saying: "With a wind."
18960 - My father narrated to us, [saying]: Muḥammad ibn Yaḥyā ibn al-Ḍurays al-ʿUbaydī narrated to us, [saying]: Ibn Fuḍayl narrated to us, from Muslim, from Mujāhid, from Ibn ʿUmar, who said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "Allah did not let loose upon the people of ʿĀd the wind by which they were destroyed, except [a portion] like the place of a signet ring. It passed by the people of the desert, carrying them, their livestock, and their wealth, and placed them between the sky and the earth. When the people of the settled lands saw the wind and what was in it, they said: 'This is a cloud bringing us rain,' and it cast the people of the desert and their livestock upon the people of the settled lands."
His saying: "An attentive ear."
18961 - Abū Zurʿah al-Dimashqī narrated to us, [saying]: al-ʿAbbās ibn al-Walīd ibn Ṣubḥ al-Dimashqī narrated to us, [saying]: Zayd ibn Yaḥyā narrated to us, [saying]: ʿAlī ibn Ḥawshab narrated to us, [saying]: I heard Makhūl saying: When [the verse] was revealed to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace: '...and an attentive ear might grasp it' (wa taʿiyahā udhunun wāʿiyah), the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "I asked my Lord to make it the ear of ʿAlī." Thus, ʿAlī used to say: "I never heard anything from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and then forgot it."

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: الْحَاقَّةُ
١٨٩٥٨ - عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: الْحَاقَّةُ قَالَ: مِنْ أَسْمَاءِ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ «١» .
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: سَبْعَ لَيَالٍ
١٨٩٥٩ - عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: سَخَّرَهَا عَلَيْهِمْ سَبْعَ لَيَالٍ وَثَمَانِيَةَ أَيَّامٍ قَالَ: كَانَ أَوُّلُهَا الْجُمُعَةَ «٢» .
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: بِرِيحٍ
١٨٩٦٠ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ الضُّرَيْسِ الْعُبَيْدِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ فُضَيْلٍ عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ «مَا فَتَحَ اللَّهُ عَلَى عَادٍ مِنَ الرِّيحِ الَّتِي أُهْلِكُوا فِيهَا إِلا مِثْلَ مَوْضِعِ الْخَاتَمِ، فَمَرَّتْ بِأَهْلِ الْبَادِيَةِ فَحُمُلَتْهُمْ وَمَوَاشِيَهُمْ وَأَمْوَالَهُمْ فَجَعَلَتْهُمْ بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ. فَلَمَّا رَأَى ذَلِكَ أَهْلُ الْحَاضِرَةِ الرِّيحَ وَمَا فِيهَا قَالُوا: هَذَا عَارِضٌ مُمْطِرُنَا فَأَلْقَتْ أَهْلَ الْبَادِيَةِ وَمَوَاشِيَهُمْ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْحَاضِرَةِ «٣» .
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: أُذُنٌ وَاعِيَةٌ
١٨٩٦١ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ صُبْحٍ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بن حوشب سمعت مَكْحُولًا يَقُولُ: لَمَّا نَزَلَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَتَعِيَهَا أُذُنٌ وَاعِيَةٌ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «سَأَلْتُ رَبِّي أَنْ يَجْعَلَهَا أُذُنَ عَلِيٍّ» فَكَانَ عَلِيٌّ يَقُولُ: مَا سَمِعْتُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَيْئًا قَطُّ فَنَسِيتُهُ «٤» .
١٨٩٦٢ - عَنْ بُرَيْدَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسلم لعلي: «إن الله
