الترجمة · EN

His (Exalted is He) saying: "Then let mankind look at his food."

19132 - From al-Ḥasan regarding His saying: "Then let mankind look at his food," he said: "An angel bends the neck of the son of Adam when he sits to relieve himself, so that he may look at what comes out of him."

His (Exalted is He) saying: "And gardens (hadāʾiq) thick and luxuriant (ghulban)."

19133 - From the route of ʿAlī, from Ibn ʿAbbās, regarding "and green fodder (qaḍban)," he said: "It is alfalfa, meaning clover." Regarding "and gardens (hadāʾiq) thick and luxuriant (ghulban)," he said: "Tall." Regarding "and fruit and herbage (abb)," he said: "The moist fruits."

19134 - From Ibn ʿAbbās, he said: "The gardens are everything dense, and the ghulb (thick) is what has grown thick. The abb (herbage) is what the earth produces of what the livestock eat, but which people do not eat."

19135 - From Ibn ʿAbbās, he said: "The abb is the fodder for the livestock."

His (Exalted is He) saying: "Covered with darkness (qatarah)."

19136 - From the route of ʿAlī, from Ibn ʿAbbās, regarding His saying: "[Some] faces, that Day, will be bright (musfirah)," he said: "Radiant." And regarding His saying: "Covered with darkness (qatarah)," he said: "Enveloped by severity and humiliation."

19137 - And from the route of ʿAṭāʾ al-Khurāsānī, from Ibn ʿAbbās, regarding qatarah, he said: "The blackening of the faces."

His (Exalted is He) saying: "And faces, that Day, will have dust upon them."

19138 - From the route of Jaʿfar ibn Muḥammad, from his father, from his grandfather, he said: The Messenger of Allāh (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said: "Sweat will bridle the disbeliever, then the dust will fall upon their faces." He said: That is His saying: "And faces, that Day, will have dust upon them."
