His statement, the Almighty: "And who destined, then guided."
19216 - On the authority of Mujāhid regarding His statement: "And who destined, then guided," he said: He guided man to misery and happiness, and guided the livestock to their pastures.
His statement, the Almighty: "And who brought forth the pasture."
19217 - On the authority of Ibrāhīm regarding "And who brought forth the pasture," he said: The vegetation.
His statement, the Almighty: "And made it dark stubble."
19220 - On the authority of Ibn ʿAbbās regarding His statement: "And made it dark stubble," he said: Dry and withered. Regarding "dark (aḥwā)," he said: Changed.
19221 - On the authority of Mujāhid regarding "And made it dark stubble," he said: The debris of the torrent. And regarding "dark (aḥwā)," he said: Black.
His statement, the Almighty: "We will make you recite, and you will not forget."
19222 - On the authority of Mujāhid regarding His statement: "We will make you recite, and you will not forget," he said: He used to repeat the Qurʾān to himself for fear that he would forget.
19223 - On the authority of Ibn ʿAbbās regarding "We will make you recite, and you will not forget, except what Allāh wills," he says: Except what I will that I cause you to forget.
His statement, the Almighty: "Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden."
