His saying, the Almighty: "Originator of the heavens and the earth."

17915 - From Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with them both, he said: I did not understand what "Originator [Fatir] of the heavens and the earth" meant, until two Bedouins came to me disputing over a well, and one of them said: "Ana fatartuha [I originated it]," meaning: I began it.

17916 - From Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with them both, regarding His saying: "Originator of the heavens and the earth," he said: The Creator [Badi'] of the heavens and the earth.

His saying, the Almighty: "[Who] makes the angels messengers having wings, two or three or four."

17917 - From al-Dahhak, he said: Everything in the Quran that mentions "Originator of the heavens and the earth" means the Creator of the heavens and the earth.

17918 - From al-Suddi, may God be pleased with him, regarding His saying: "Makes the angels messengers," he said: To the servants.

17919 - From Qatada, may God be pleased with him, regarding His saying: "Originator of the heavens and the earth, makes the angels messengers having wings, two or three or four," he said: Some of them have two wings, some of them have three wings, and some of them have four wings.

His saying, the Almighty: "He increases in creation what He wills."

17920 - From al-Suddi, may God be pleased with him, regarding His saying: "He increases in creation what He wills," he said: He increases their wings and their creation as He wills.

17921 - From al-Zuhri, may God be pleased with him, regarding His saying: "He increases in creation what He wills," he said: A beautiful voice.
