19466 - Abū Zurʿah narrated to us, Ibrāhīm ibn Mūsā narrated to us, Muḥammad ibn Sulaymān al-Aṣbahānī informed us, from Ibn Abī Laylā, I think from ʿĀmir, from Ibn Masʿūd, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), regarding His saying: "Then, on that Day, you will surely be questioned about the delight," he said: "Security and health."

19467 - From Qatādah, regarding His saying: "By the Time (al-ʿAṣr)," he said: A moment from the moments of the day. And regarding His saying: "and recommend one another to the truth," he said: The Book of Allah.

And His saying, the Exalted: "and recommend one another to patience," he said: Obedience to Allah.

19468 - From Muḥammad ibn Kaʿb al-Quraẓī, regarding "By the Time (al-ʿAṣr)," he said: An oath by which Allah, our Lord, the Blessed and Exalted, has sworn. "Indeed, mankind is in loss," he said: All people. Then He made an exception and said: "Except for those who have believed," then He did not leave them as such until He said: "and done righteous deeds," then He did not leave them as such until He said: "and recommend one another to the truth," then He did not leave them as such until He said: "and recommend one another to patience." He sets conditions for them.
