الترجمة · EN

18086 - From Ibn 'Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, regarding His saying: "And We created for them from the likes of it what they ride," he means the camels; Allah, the Exalted, created them as you see, for they are the ships of the land; people are carried upon them and they ride them.

18087 - From 'Abd Allah ibn Shaddad, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: "And We created for them from the likes of it what they ride," he said: "The camels."

18088 - From Mujahid, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: "And We created for them from the likes of it what they ride," he said: "The livestock (an'am)." And regarding His saying: "And if We should will, We could drown them, and no one would respond to their cry," meaning: no helper for them to whom they could cry for help.

His saying, the Exalted: "no one would respond to their cry," up to His saying: "And when it is said to them, 'Spend from what Allah has provided for you.'"

18089 - From Qatadah, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding "no one would respond to their cry," he said: "No helper for them." And regarding His saying: "and as a provision for a time," he said: "Until death." And regarding His saying: "And when it is said to them, 'Fear what is before you,'" he said: "Of the events that have already passed regarding those who were before you and the punishments that befell 'Ad and Thamud and the nations." And "and what is behind you," he said: "Of the matters of the Hour." And regarding His saying: "And when it is said to them, 'Spend from what Allah has provided for you,'" he said: "It was revealed regarding the zindiqs (heretics); they would not feed the poor, so Allah criticized them for that and reproached them."

18090 - From Mujahid, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: "And when it is said to them, 'Fear what is before you and what is behind you,'" he said: "What has passed and what remains of sins."

His saying, the Exalted: "'Should we feed one whom, if Allah had willed, He would have fed?'"

18091 - From al-Hasan, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: "'Should we feed one whom, if Allah had willed, He would have fed?'" he said: "The Jews say it."

His saying, the Exalted: "They do not await except one blast which will seize them while they are disputing."

18092 - From Qatadah, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: "They do not await except one blast which will seize them while they are disputing."
