outside the village, so we cooked them. It is then said: [Is that what] the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, [said]? 'Indeed, Allah and His Messenger forbid you from [eating] domestic donkeys, for they are impure, from the work of Satan' (1).

18320 - From Mujahid, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: 'So leave them for a time,' he said: 'It was said to him: Turn away from them' (2).

18321 - From Zayd ibn Aslam, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: 'And see, for they are going to see,' he said: 'He says: On the Day of Resurrection, [they will see] what they did regarding the command of Allah, and their disbelief in Allah, His Messenger, and His Book.' He said: 'See and see them are [both] one [in meaning]' (3).

His saying, the Almighty: "Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of Might, above what they describe. And peace be upon the messengers. And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds."

18322 - Ammar ibn Khalid al-Wasiti narrated to us, [who said] Shababa narrated to us, from Yunus ibn Abi Ishaq, from al-Sha'bi, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever is pleased to be measured with the fullest measure of reward on the Day of Resurrection, then let him say at the end of his gathering when he intends to rise: Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of Might, above what they describe. And peace be upon the messengers. And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds" (4).

18323 - From Qatada, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: 'Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of Might,' he said: 'He glorifies Himself when it is lied about Him, and slander is spoken against Him. 'Above what they describe,' he said: 'Above what they lie about. And peace be upon the messengers,' he said: 'The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When you greet me, then greet the messengers, for I am only a messenger from among the messengers"' (5).

18324 - From al-Sha'bi, he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever is pleased to be measured with the fullest measure of reward on the Day of Resurrection, then let him say at the end of his gathering when he intends to rise: Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of Might, above what they describe. And peace be upon the messengers. And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds" (6).

18325 - Ali ibn al-Husayn ibn al-Junayd narrated to us, Abu Bakr al-A'yan and Muhammad ibn Abd al-Rahim Sa'iqa narrated to us, they said: Husayn ibn Muhammad narrated to us, Shayban narrated to us from Qatada, he said: Anas ibn Malik narrated from Abu Talha, [who] said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When you greet me, then greet the messengers" (7).
