(7/215), al-Shifa (1/700), al-Qurtubi (2/410, 8/68, 133, 137), al-Manthur (3/234, 236), al-Baghawi (3/91), al-Tabari (10/88), Ibn Kathir (3/7, 4/86), Mushkil (2/193), al-Masir (3/395), al-Nubuwwah (5/441, 6/539), Bidayah (2/204), and Jayb (2/9).

1793: 10014. Kaffaru (They disbelieved): 1: Ibn Kathir: (2/356).

: 10015. Al-Nasi' (Postponement): 2: Al-Tabari said: Al-Nasi' with the hamza means an increase. It is said: Nasa'a, yansa'u, meaning he increased. He said: It is not pronounced without the hamza except in the sense of forgetfulness (nisyan), as Allah the Almighty said: "They forgot Allah, so He forgot them." He refuted Nafi' regarding his recitation, and argued by saying: It is transitive with a preposition. It is said: "Nasa'a Allahu fi ajalika" (Allah has increased your appointed time), just as we say "Zada Allahu fi ajalika" (Allah has increased your appointed time). From this is the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "Whoever is pleased that his provision be expanded for him and that his life be extended, let him maintain ties of kinship."

See: Tafsir al-Qurtubi: (5/2975-2976).

1794: 10015. 'Aman (A year): 1: Tafsir Ibn Kathir: (2/357).

: 10019. Al-Nasi': 2: Previous source.

1795: 10021. Ma saqatu (What they fell into): 1: Tafsir Ibn Kathir: (2/357).

Ibn Kathir said: "This is a strange description of al-Nasi'."

: 10023. Liyuwati'u (To conform): 2: His saying, the Almighty: "Liyuwati'u," meaning: to agree. A people agreed (tawata'a) on such and such, meaning: they gathered upon it, meaning: they did not make a month lawful except that they made a month unlawful, so that the sacred months would remain four. This is the correct view, not what is mentioned
