  1. Qaydan (Enticement/Obstacle): 2: The previous source.

: 10094. Al-fitnah (The trial/strife): 3: Al-Qurtubi said in his exegesis of this verse: The meaning is: they seek strife for you, meaning corruption and incitement. It is said: 'Abghaytuhu kadha' means I helped him to seek it, and 'baghaytuhu kadha' means I sought it for myself, and 'tabaghaytuhu kadha' means I sought it for myself. It was also said: Al-fitnah here means polytheism (shirk).

: 10100. Munafiqin (Hypocrites): 4: Tafsir Mujahid: (1/281).

1809: 10096. Lahum (For them): 1: Al-Qurtubi said in his exegesis of this verse: Meaning: there are spies among them who convey news of you to them. Qatadah says: Among you are those who accept their words and obey them. Al-Nahhas says: The first opinion is more appropriate because it is the most common of its two meanings, i.e., the meaning of 'sama'a' (hearing), meaning 'listening to speech,' similar to the phrase 'They are listeners (sama'un) to lies.'

: 9600. Saqatu (They fell): 2: Al-Nubuwwah (5/213), al-Manthur (3/348), al-Qurtubi (8/158), al-Masir (3/449), and Ibn Kathir (2/361-362).

1810: 9602. Wa la takfurni (And do not accuse me of disbelief): 1: In the Sahih, it is recorded that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said to them: "Who is your master, O Banu Salamah?" They said: "Al-Jadd ibn Qays, although we consider him a miser." The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) then said: "And what disease is more severe than miserliness! But your master is the fair-skinned, white-faced youth, al-Bara' ibn Ma'rur." Al-Mughni 'an Haml al-Asfar (3/249), al-Kanz (36858, 36859), Makarim (59), al-Khatib (4/217), al-Tabarani (19/81), Ibn Sa'd (3/2/112), and al-Majma' (9/315), who attributed it to al-Tabarani and al-Bazzar, and it contains Sa'id ibn Muhammad al-Warraq, who is abandoned (matruk).
