: 6449: That: 3: Ibn Mardawayh said: Da'laj ibn Ahmad narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Zayd narrated to us, Sa'id ibn Mansur narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from Imran ibn Zabyan, from Adi ibn Thabit that a man from the companions of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "Whoever gives blood as charity, or less than that, it is an expiation for him from the day he was born until the day he dies." Al-Matalib (1861), al-Targhib (3/305), al-Tabari (6/169), Ibn Kathir (3/117), and al-Majma' (6/302), who attributed it to Abu Ya'la; its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except for Umar ibn Zabyan, whom Ibn Hibban declared trustworthy, although there is weakness in him.
