: 16135: Angels: 2: Sa'id ibn Jubayr said: The fire was actually there, and the Almighty caused him to hear His speech from its direction, and manifested His Lordship to him from that side. This is as it is narrated that it is written in the Torah: "God came from Sinai, shone forth from Seir, and ascended from the mountains of Paran." His coming from Sinai was His sending Moses from there; His shining forth from Seir was His sending the Messiah from there; and His ascending from Paran was His sending Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace; and Paran is Makkah.
