3075: 17393: Verse 54: 1: His saying, the Almighty: "And they hasten you for the punishment," meaning: they hasten you while Hell has been prepared for them, and it will surely encompass them. So what is the meaning of hastening?
3076: 17405: Death: 1: His saying, the Almighty: "Every soul will taste death." This was mentioned previously in "Al-Imran." He mentioned it here to belittle the affair of this world and its fears. It is as if some believers looked at the outcome that might befall them upon leaving their homeland of Makkah—that they might die or go hungry or similar—so Allah belittled the status of this world.
