: 15737: One: 6: See Ibn Kathir’s Tafsir: (3/339).
2785: 15746: They fell into it: 1: Ibn Kathir’s Tafsir: (3/340).
2790: 15784: The ship: 1: Ibn Kathir said in the commentary on this verse: And the "laden" (al-mashhun) is that which is filled with supplies and pairs, which he carried in it, two of every kind. That is: We saved Noah and all those who followed him, and We drowned all those who disbelieved in him and opposed his command, everyone.
2792: 15794: The messengers: 1: Ibn Kathir said in the commentary on this verse: This is a notification from Allah Almighty regarding His servant and messenger, Hud, peace be upon him, that he called his people, Ad. His people used to dwell in Al-Ahqaf—which are mountains of sand near Hadhramaut in the direction of the lands of Yemen. Their time was after the people of Noah, peace be upon him. They were in the utmost state of severe might, great height, abundant provisions, wealth, gardens, rivers, children, crops, and fruits. Along with that, they worshipped other than Allah, so Allah sent to them Hud, a righteous man from among them, as a messenger, a bringer of glad tidings, and a warner. He called them to Allah alone and warned them of His vengeance and punishment for opposing Him and His might. Hud said to them as Noah had said to his people.
