Sa'id b. Jubayr regarding His saying: "He has revealed to you the Book," said: "The closing verses of al-Baqarah are from a treasure beneath the Throne."

3132 - Al-Hasan b. Ahmad narrated to us, Ishaq b. Isma'il al-Muray reported to us, Yazid b. Zuray' reported to us, Sa'id reported to us, from Qatada regarding His saying: "He has revealed to you the Book in truth," he says: "The Qur'an."

3133 - My father narrated to us, al-Hasan b. al-Rabi' reported to us, Ibn Idris reported to us, Muhammad b. Ishaq reported to us regarding His saying: "He has revealed to you the Book in truth," he says: "With the discernment regarding that which they claimed of falsehood."
The second view:
3134 - Muhammad b. Yahya narrated to us, Abu Ghassan informed us, Salama reported to us, he said: Muhammad b. Ishaq said: "He has revealed to you the Book in truth," meaning: by confirming that wherein they differed.
His saying (the Exalted): "Confirming what is before it."
3135 - Al-Hajjaj b. Hamza narrated to us, Shababa reported to us, Warqa' reported to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid regarding His saying: "Confirming what is before it," [meaning] for that which preceded it of a Book or a Messenger.
3136 - Al-Hasan b. Ahmad narrated to us, Musa b. Muhkam reported to us, 'Abd al-Kabir b. 'Abd al-Majid reported to us, 'Abbad b. Mansur reported to us, he said: I asked al-Hasan about His saying: "Confirming what is before it," he says: "Of the clear proofs that were revealed to Nuh, Ibrahim, Hud, and the Prophets, and the Zabur (Psalms) was revealed to Dawud." A similar account to that of Mujahid was narrated from Qatada and al-Rabi' b. Anas.
His saying: "And He revealed the Torah and the Gospel before."
3137 - My father narrated to us, 'Abd Allah b. Raja' reported to us, 'Imran Abu al-'Awwam al-Qattan informed us, from Qatada, from Abu al-Malih, from Wathila that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "The Torah was revealed on the sixth night of Ramadan, and the Gospel was revealed on the thirteenth night of Ramadan."

سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: نَزَّلَ عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ قَالَ: خَوَاتِيمُ الْبَقَرَةِ مِنْ كَنْزٍ تَحْتَ الْعَرْشِ «١» .

٣١٣٤ - حَدَّثَنَا محمد بن نحيى، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو غَسَّانَ، ثنا سَلَمَةُ، قَالَ: قَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ: نَزَّلَ عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ بِالْحَقِّ أي بتصدق فِيمَا اخْتَلَفُوا فِيهِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: مُصَدِّقًا لِمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ
٣١٣٥ - حَدَّثَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ، ثنا شَبَابَةُ، ثنا وَرْقَاءُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ «٢»
قَوْلُهُ: مُصَدِّقًا لَمَّا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ لِمَا قَبْلَهُ مِنْ كِتَابٍ أَوْ رَسُولٍ.
٣١٣٦ - حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ مُحْكَمٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْكَبِيرِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ، ثنا عَبَّادُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ الْحَسَنَ عَنْ قَوْلِهِ: مُصَدِّقًا لِمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ يَقُولُ: مِنَ الْبَيِّنَاتِ الَّتِي أُنْزِلَتْ عَلَى نُوحَ وَإِبْرَاهِيمَ وَهُودٍ وَالأَنْبِيَاءِ، وَأُنْزِلَ عَلَى دَاوُدَ الزَّبُورُ- وَرُوِيَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ وَالرَّبِيعِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ نَحْوُ قَوْلِ مُجَاهِدٍ.
قَوْلُهُ: وَأَنْزَلَ التَّوْرَاةَ وَالإِنْجِيلَ مِنْ قَبْلُ
٣١٣٧ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ، أَنْبَأَ عِمْرَانُ أَبُو الْعَوَّامِ الْقَطَّانُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ عَنْ وَاثِلَةَ أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: وَأُنْزِلَتِ التَّوْرَاةُ لِسِتٍّ مَضَيْنَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ، وَأُنْزِلَ الإِنْجِيلُ لِثَلاثَ عشر خلت من رمضان «٣» .
