His saying, the Exalted: "And they speak a lie about Allah while they know."
3737 - Al-Hasan b. Ahmad narrated to us, Musa b. Muhkam narrated to us, Abu Bakr al-Hanafi narrated to us, 'Abbad b. Mansur narrated to us, he said: I asked al-Hasan about His saying: "And they speak a lie about Allah while they know," he said: They are all the People of the Scripture; they have lied about Allah and distorted the words from their places.
His saying, the Exalted: "It is not for a human that Allah should give him the Scripture."
3738 - Al-Hasan b. Ahmad narrated to us, Musa b. Muhkam narrated to us, Abu Bakr al-Hanafi narrated to us, 'Abbad b. Mansur narrated to us, he said: I asked al-Hasan about His saying: "It is not for a human that Allah should give him the Scripture, authority, and prophethood," he said: It is not for a believer to do that.
3739 - 'Ali b. al-Mubarak informed me, in what he wrote to me, Zayd b. al-Mubarak narrated to us, Ibn Thawr narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, concerning His saying: "It is not for a human that Allah should give him the Scripture," he says: It is not for a prophet that Allah should give him the Scripture.

3740 - 'Ali b. al-Husayn narrated to us, he said: Muhammad b. al-'Ala' said: Yunus b. Bukayr narrated to us, from Matar b. Maymun, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas, he said: Authority: [is] knowledge.
The Second Aspect:
3741 - It was mentioned from Abu Dawud al-Tayalisi, Aban b. Yazid al-'Attar narrated to us, from Malik, from Mujahid, he said: Authority: [is] wisdom (al-lubb).
His saying, the Exalted: "Then he says to the people."
3742 - 'Ali b. al-Mubarak informed me, in what he wrote to me, Zayd b. al-Mubarak narrated to us, Ibn Thawr narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, concerning His saying: "Then he says to the people," then he orders the people [with] other than what Allah revealed to him in His Scripture.
قَولُهُ تَعَالَى: وَيَقُولُونَ عَلَى اللَّهِ الْكَذِبَ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ
٣٧٣٧ - حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ مُحْكَمٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ ثنا عَبَّادُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ الْحَسَنَ عَنْ قَوْلِهِ: وَيَقُولُونَ عَلَى اللَّهِ الْكَذِبَ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ قَالَ: هُمْ أَهْلُ الْكِتَابِ كُلُّهُمْ قَدْ كَذَبُوا عَلَى اللَّهِ، وَحَرَّفُوا الْكَلِمَ عَنْ مَوَاضِعِهِ
قَولُهُ تَعَالَى: مَا كَانَ لِبَشَرٍ أَنْ يُؤْتِيَهُ اللَّهُ الْكِتَابِ
٣٧٣٨ - حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ مُحْكَمٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ ثنا عَبَّادُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ الْحَسَنَ عَنْ قَوْلِهِ: مَا كَانَ لِبَشَرٍ أَنْ يُؤْتِيَهُ اللَّهُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحُكْمَ وَالنُّبُوَّةَ قَالَ: مَا كَانَ لِمُؤْمِنٍ أَنْ يَفْعَلَ ذَلِكَ.
٣٧٣٩ - أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ، ثنا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، ثنا ابْنُ ثَوْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: مَا كَانَ لِبَشَرٍ أَنْ يُؤْتِيَهُ اللَّهُ الْكِتَابَ يَقُولُ: مَا كَانَ لِنَبِيًّ أَنْ يُؤْتِيَهُ اللَّهُ الكتاب.

٣٧٤٠ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ قَالَ: قَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ، ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، عَنْ مَطَرِ بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: الْحُكْمُ: الْعِلْمُ.

٣٧٤١ - ذُكِرَ عَنْ أَبِي دَاوُدَ الطَّيَالِسِيِّ، ثنا أَبَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْعَطَّارُ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ قَالَ: الْحُكْمَ: اللُّبَّ.
قَولُهُ تَعَالَى: ثُمَّ يَقُولَ لِلنَّاسِ
٣٧٤٢ - أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ، ثنا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، ثنا ابْنُ ثَوْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: ثُمّ يَقُولَ لِلنَّاسِ ثُمَّ يَأْمُرُ النَّاسَ بِغَيْرِ مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ فِي كِتَابِهِ.
