The second aspect: That they are the days of Tashriq.
1895 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Hafs b. 'Umar b. Rashid al-Maktab narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Layla, from al-Hakam, from Miqsam, from Ibn 'Abbas, he said: Four days; the day of Sacrifice and three days after it, meaning His saying: "[specific] numbered days." Similar to this was narrated from Ibn 'Umar, Ibn al-Zubayr, Abu Musa, Mujahid, 'Ata', al-Hasan, Ibrahim, al-Dahhak, Abu Malik, 'Ikrimah, Sa'id b. Jubayr, al-Suddi, al-Zuhri, Qatadah, al-Rabi' b. Anas, Muqatil b. Hayyan, 'Ata' al-Khurasani, and Yahya b. Abi Kathir.
His saying: "Whoever hastens in two days"
[The first aspect]
1896 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih the scribe of al-Layth narrated to us, Mu'awiyah b. Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali b. Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding His saying: "Whoever hastens in two days, there is no sin upon him," he said: There is no guilt for him.
1897 - My father narrated to us, Ibrahim b. Musa narrated to us, Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from Qays, from 'Ata' regarding hastening in two days: Meaning, he leaves during the day, he said: When the sun has passed its meridian until nightfall.
1898 - My father narrated to us, Ahmad b. Ma'mar b. Ashkab al-Saffar narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahim b. Sulayman narrated to us, from 'Abd al-Malik b. Sa'id b. Abjar, from Hammad, from Ibrahim, from 'Alqamah, from Ibn Mas'ud, that he said: "Whoever hastens in two days, there is no sin upon him"; his sins have been forgiven.
Similar to this was narrated from 'Ali with a mursal chain, and from Ibn 'Umar, Abu Dharr, Salim b. 'Abd Allah, Abu al-'Aliyah, Mujahid, al-Sha'bi, Mu'awiyah b. Qurrah, Ibrahim, al-Dahhak, Mutarrif b. al-Shikhkhir, Abu Malik, Hammad b. Abi Sulayman, al-Rabi' b. Anas, and al-Suddi.
And the second aspect:
1899 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Waki' narrated to us, from Ishaq b. Yahya, he said: I heard Mujahid regarding: "Whoever hastens in two days, there is no sin upon him," he said: [meaning the sin is forgiven] until the following year.
