And the Second Aspect:

4543 - Al-Hasan ibn Ahmad narrated to us, Musa ibn Muhkam narrated to us, Abu Bakr al-Hanafi narrated to us, ‘Abbad ibn Mansur narrated to us, he said: I asked al-Hasan about His saying: "And let not those who hasten into disbelief grieve you," he said: They are the disbelievers.

4544 - My father narrated to us, Abu Nu‘aym narrated to us, Zakariyya—meaning: Ibn Abi Za’idah—narrated to us, from ‘Amir, regarding "And let not those who hasten into disbelief grieve you," he said: There was a man from the Jews who killed a man from his own household. They said to their allies among the Muslims: "Ask Muhammad; if he judges with the blood money, we shall take our dispute to him, and if he orders execution, we shall not come to him."

His saying, the Exalted: "They will never harm Allah at all"

4545 - Hajjaj narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa’ narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, regarding His saying: "They will never harm Allah at all," he said: They are the hypocrites.

His saying, the Exalted: "Allah intends that He should give them no portion in the Hereafter, and for them is a great punishment"

4546 - Muhammad ibn al-‘Abbas narrated to us, Muhammad ibn ‘Amr narrated to us, Salamah narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Ishaq said: "Allah intends that He should give them no portion in the Hereafter," meaning: their deeds are rendered vain, "and for them is a great punishment."

4547 - Abu Zur‘ah narrated to us, Minjab ibn al-Harith narrated to us, Bishr ibn ‘Umarah narrated to us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn ‘Abbas regarding [the word] "punishment" (ʿadhāb), he says: retribution (nakāl).

4548 - I read to Muhammad ibn al-Fadl, Muhammad ibn ‘Ali narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Muzahim narrated to us, Bukayr narrated to us, from Muqatil ibn Hayyan, regarding "great" (ʿaẓīm), he means: a plentiful punishment.

His saying, the Exalted: "Indeed, those who purchased disbelief for belief will never harm Allah at all"

4549 - Al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Rabi‘ narrated to us, ‘Abd al-Razzaq informed us, Ma‘mar informed us, from Qatadah, regarding His saying: "purchased," meaning: they preferred misguidance over guidance.
