3874 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Abu Khalid narrated to us, from Juwaybir, from al-Dahhak, regarding "And whoever disbelieves": He disbelieves in the House (al-Bayt).
[The Sixth Aspect]
3875 - Ibn al-Muqri' and Yunus ibn 'Abd al-A'la narrated to us, both saying: Sufyan ibn 'Uyaynah narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, from 'Ikrimah, regarding "And whoever disbelieves, then indeed, Allah is free from need of the worlds": He said: "[This refers to] those from the religious communities (al-milal)."
3876 - My father narrated to me, Abu Harun al-Bakka'i narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, from Yazid ibn Abi Habib, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding the saying of Allah the Exalted "And whoever disbelieves, then indeed, Allah is free from need of the worlds": He said: "Allah only revealed this regarding the disbelieving People of the Scripture. Allah says: 'O People of the Scripture, why do you disbelieve in the verses of Allah while you witness [to them]?' We do not see this as being for anyone who believes in it."
His saying, the Exalted: "Then indeed, Allah is free from need"
3877 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Waki' narrated to us, from Isma'il ibn Abi Khalid, from Abu Salih, who said: "Allah obligated the Hajj upon the people; 'And whoever disbelieves, then indeed, Allah is free from need of the worlds.'"
His saying, the Exalted: "Say, O People of the Scripture"
3878 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, Abu Ghassan informed us, Salamah narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Ishaq said: A trustworthy narrator narrated to me, from Zayd ibn Aslam, who said: "And Allah revealed regarding Shas ibn Qays and what he did: 'O People of the Scripture, why do you disbelieve in the verses of Allah?'"
His saying, the Exalted: "Why do you disbelieve"
3879 - Ahmad ibn 'Uthman narrated to us, Ahmad ibn Mufaddal narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi, regarding "O People of the Scripture, why do you disbelieve in the verses of Allah": He says: "Why do you disbelieve in the Hajj?"
His saying, the Exalted: "And Allah is Witness over what you do"
3880 - al-Hasan ibn Ahmad narrated to us, Musa ibn Muhkam narrated to us, Abu Bakr al-Hanafi narrated to us, 'Abbad ibn Mansur narrated to us, saying: I asked al-Hasan about His saying: "And Allah is Witness over what you do." He said: "They are the Jews and the Christians."

٣٨٧٤ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ، ثنا أَبُو خَالِدٍ، عَنْ جُوَيْبِرٍ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ وَمَنْ كَفَرَ كَفَرَ بِالْبَيْتِ.

٣٨٧٥ - حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُقْرِئِ وَيُونُسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى قَالا: ثنا سُفْيَانُ بن عيينة، عن ابن جريح، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ وَمَنْ كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَنِيّ عَنِ الْعَالَمِينَ قَالَ: مِنْ أَهْلِ الْمِلَلِ.
٣٨٧٦ - حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، ثنا أَبُو هَارُونَ الْبَكَّائِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى وَمَنْ كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَنِيّ عَنِ الْعَالَمِينَ قَالَ: إِنَّمَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ الْكُفَّارِ، يَقُولُ اللَّهُ: يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ لِمَ تَكْفُرُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَأَنْتُمْ تَشْهَدُونَ لَا نَرَى ذَلِكَ عَلَى مَنْ يَرَاهُ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: فإن الله غني
٣٨٧٧ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ، ثنا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ قَالَ: فَرَضَ اللَّهُ الْحَجَّ عَلَى النَّاسِ، وَمَنْ كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَنِيٌّ عَنِ الْعَالَمِينَ
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: قُلْ يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَاب
٣٨٧٨ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو غَسَّانَ، ثنا سَلَمَةُ قَالَ: قَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ: وَحَدَّثَنِي الثِّقَةُ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ قَالَ: وَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ فِي شَاسِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ وَمَا صَنَعَ: يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ لِمَ تكفرون بآيات الله
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: لِمَ تَكْفُرُونَ
٣٨٧٩ - حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُفَضَّلٍ، ثنا أَسْبَاطٌ، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ لِمَ تَكْفُرُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ: لِمَا تَكْفُرُونَ بِالْحَجِّ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَاللَّهُ شَهِيدٌ عَلَى مَا تَعْمَلُون
٣٨٨٠ - حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ مُحْكَمٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ ثنا عَبَّادُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ الْحَسَنَ عَنْ قَوْلِهِ: وَاللَّهُ شَهِيدٌ عَلَى مَا تَعْمَلُونَ قَالَ:
هُمُ الْيَهُودُ وَالنَّصَارَى.
