4799 - I read to Muhammad ibn al-Fadl, Muhammad ibn 'Ali narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Muzahim informed us, from Bukayr ibn Ma'ruf, from Muqatil ibn Hayyan regarding His saying: "And test the orphans," meaning: the guardians and trustees, he says: Test them.
His saying, the Exalted: "Until they reach marriage [age]"

4800 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid regarding His saying: "Until they reach marriage [age]," he says: Puberty. Abu Muhammad said: It was narrated from Abu Malik, Sa'id ibn Jubayr, and al-Suddi similar to that.
And the second interpretation:
4801 - It was mentioned from Abu Ma'shar, from Muhammad ibn Qays regarding His saying: "Until they reach marriage [age]," he said: Fifteen [years].
His saying, the Exalted: "Then if you perceive in them soundness of judgment"
4802 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih narrated to us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "Then if you perceive in them soundness of judgment," he said: If you recognize in them soundness of judgment. Abu Muhammad said: It was narrated from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, Mujahid, and Abu Malik similar to that.

4803 - My father narrated to us, 'Amr ibn 'Awn al-Wasiti narrated to us, Sharik informed us, from Simak ibn Harb, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "Then if you perceive in them soundness of judgment," he said: When the orphan reaches puberty with intellect and gravity, his wealth is to be delivered to him.
4804 - Abu Muhammad said: It was narrated from Mujahid: "Soundness of judgment" means: Intellect.
And the second interpretation:
4805 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih narrated to us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "Then if you perceive in them soundness of judgment," he said: If you recognize soundness of judgment in their condition and righteousness in their wealth. Abu Muhammad said: It was narrated from al-Hasan something similar.
