تفسير ابن أبي حاتم
مجلد 3 · صفحة 178[سورة النساء (٤) : آية ١١]

الترجمة · EN

[...those] for whom Allah made the Fire necessary for whoever performs them, such as this verse: 'and they will burn in a blazing fire,' we used to testify against anyone who did any of this that he was for the Fire, until [the verse] was revealed: 'Indeed, Allah does not forgive that one should associate anything with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills.' When it was revealed, we refrained from testifying, and we did not testify that they were in the Fire, and we feared for them due to what Allah had made necessary for them.

His saying, the Exalted: "Allah instructs you concerning your children"

4886 - Muhammad ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Yazid al-Muqri' narrated to us, Sufyan ibn 'Uyaynah reported to us, from Ibn al-Munkadir who said: I heard Jabir ibn 'Abd Allah say: I fell ill, and the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) came to visit me, he and Abu Bakr, both walking. I had fainted, so the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) performed ablution, then he poured some of his ablution water over me. I regained consciousness and said: "O Messenger of Allah, how should I make a bequest regarding my wealth? How should I act regarding my wealth?" The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) did not answer me until the verse of inheritance was revealed.

4887 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah reported to us, Warqa' reported to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from 'Ata' regarding His saying: "Allah instructs you concerning your children," he said: Ibn 'Abbas used to say: The wealth was for the child, and the bequest was for the parents and the relatives, so Allah abrogated from that what He wished and assigned to the male the like of the portion of two females.

His saying, the Exalted: "to the male the like of the portion of two females"

4888 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih, the scribe of al-Layth, reported to us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to me, from Ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "to the male the like of the portion of two females": both small and large.

4889 - Ahmad ibn 'Uthman ibn Hakim al-Awdi narrated to us, Ahmad ibn al-Mufaddal reported to us, Asbat reported to us, from al-Suddi regarding His saying: "portion" [hazz], he says: share [nasib].

His saying, the Exalted: "then for them"

4890 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Bukayr reported to us, 'Abd Allah ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' ibn Dinar narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding His saying: "then for them," meaning: daughters.
