5122 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Hisham ibn Khalid narrated to us, Makhlad ibn Husayn narrated to us, Hisham—meaning: Ibn Hassan—narrated to us, from Ibn Sirin, from 'Ubaydah regarding: "And permitted to you are [all that is] beyond that," meaning: from the slave women, meaning: the concubines. 'Ali ibn al-Husayn said: It is only: Tammam ibn Najih, from al-Hasan.
The third interpretation:
5123 - Ahmad ibn 'Uthman ibn Hakim al-Awdi narrated to us, Ahmad ibn Mufaddal narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi regarding: "And permitted to you are [all that is] beyond that," he said: That which is less than four.
His saying, the Almighty: "[all of this] as a seeking [to marry] with your wealth."
5124 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih, the scribe of al-Layth, narrated to us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding his saying: "[as a] seeking [to marry]," he said: In purchase and sale.
His saying, the Almighty: "desiring chastity"
5125 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid(1) regarding his saying: "desiring chastity," he said: Getting married.
5126 - I read to Muhammad ibn al-Fadl ibn Musa, Muhammad ibn 'Ali narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Muzahim informed us, from Bukayr ibn Ma'ruf, from Muqatil ibn Hayyan, regarding his saying: "desiring chastity," he said: For their private parts.
His saying, the Almighty: "not illicit sexual intercourse"

5127 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, regarding his saying: "not illicit sexual intercourse," he said: Committing adultery with every adulteress.
5128 - I read to Muhammad ibn 'Abd Allah ibn 'Abd al-Hakam, Ibn Wahb informed us, 'Amr ibn al-Harith informed me that Bukayr ibn 'Abd Allah ibn al-Ashajj narrated to him, that Abu al-Samh, the freed slave of Banu Hashim, narrated to him that a man came to Ibn 'Abbas and asked him about "al-sifah" (illicit sexual intercourse), he said: Adultery. Similar to this has been narrated from al-Suddi and Muqatil ibn Hayyan.
