His saying the Exalted: "And worship Allah"
5289 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, Abu Ghassan reported, Salama ibn al-Fadl narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq who said regarding what Muhammad ibn Abi Muhammad narrated to me, from 'Ikrimah or Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "Worship Allah," meaning: Assert His oneness.
His saying the Exalted: "And do not associate anything with Him"
5290 - Muhammad ibn 'Awf narrated to us, Ibn Abi Maryam narrated to us, Nafi' ibn Yazid reported, Sayyar ibn 'Abd al-Rahman narrated to me, from Yazid ibn Qawdhar, from Salama ibn Shurayh, from 'Ubadah ibn al-Samit, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) advised us with seven qualities: Not to associate anything with Allah, even if you are burned, cut, or crucified.
His saying the Exalted: "And to parents, do good"
5291 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Safwan ibn Salih narrated to us, al-Walid narrated to us, Bukayr ibn Ma'ruf informed me, from Muqatil ibn Hayyan regarding the saying of Allah the Exalted: "And to parents, do good," in what He commanded you regarding the right of the parents.
His saying the Exalted: "And to kinsmen"
5292 - I read to Muhammad ibn al-Fadl, Muhammad ibn 'Ali narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Muzahim reported, from Bukayr ibn Ma'ruf, from Muqatil ibn Hayyan regarding His saying: "And to kinsmen," meaning: Kinship.
His saying the Exalted: "And orphans"
5293 - al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Rabi' narrated to us, 'Abd al-Razzaq reported, Ma'mar reported, from Juwaybir, from al-Dahhak, from al-Nazzal, from 'Ali, from the Prophet (peace be upon him) that he said: "There is no orphanhood after puberty."
5294 - Muhammad ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Yazid al-Muqri' narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from Isma'il, meaning Ibn Umayyah, from Sa'id, meaning al-Maqburi, from Yazid ibn Harun, who said: Najdah wrote to Ibn 'Abbas and asked him about the orphan: When does his orphanhood expire? He said: Write, O Yazid, when maturity is perceived in him."
