His saying the Exalted: "And the needy"

5295 - Harun ibn Ishaq al-Hamdani and Ahmad ibn Sinan al-Wasiti narrated to us, both saying: Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurayrah who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "The needy (al-masakin) is not the one who roams about, nor the one whom a morsel or two or a date or two turns away, but the needy person is the one who refrains from begging, does not ask people for anything, and is not noticed so that charity might be given to him."

His saying the Exalted: "And the neighbor who is near of kin"

5296 - My father narrated to me, Abu Salih narrated to us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "And the neighbor who is near of kin," meaning: The one between whom and you there is kinship. It was narrated from Mujahid, 'Ikrimah, Maymun ibn Mihran, al-Dahhak, Zayd ibn Aslam, Muqatil ibn Hayyan, and Qatadah similarly.

5297 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Ibrahim ibn Musa narrated to us, Ibn Abi Za'idah reported, Isra'il reported, from Jabir, from 'Amir who said: 'Ali and Ibn Mas'ud said regarding: "And the neighbor who is near of kin": It is the wife. It was narrated from al-Hasan and Sa'id ibn Jubayr similarly.

5298 - It was mentioned from 'Ubayd Allah ibn Musa, Shayban reported, from Abu Ishaq, from Nawf, regarding "And the neighbor who is near of kin," he said: The Muslim.

5299 - My father narrated to me, Abu Salih narrated to us, Mu'awiyah narrated to me, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "And the neighbor who is a stranger": The one between whom and you there is no kinship. It was narrated from 'Ikrimah, Mujahid (in one of the narrations), Qatadah, 'Ata' al-Khurasani, al-Suddi, al-Dahhak, Zayd ibn Aslam, and Muqatil ibn Hayyan similarly.
